EGU

EGU is for you if you want as much workplace training as possible and would like to gain experience, skills, and insight into working life before starting a vocational education program.

Your internship within the vocational theme you choose is arranged in collaboration with KUI (the Municipal youth couselor). In EGU, you alternate between practical training in a company and general education at FGU, or combined courses at other educational institutions – depending on your internship.

Subjects

At FGU Nordvest, you can take courses in Danish, mathematics, and PASE (personal finance, work skills, cooperation skills, vocational skills). An EGU program typically consists of 2/3 workplace training and 1/3 education.
The subjects are offered at different levels. Together with your counselor, you will decide which subjects you should take and at which level.

Exam

If you complete your vocational theme in the company at FGU Level 3, you must take an exam. The exam format depends on the subject guidelines and varies between a portfolio exam, a one-day practical exam, or a multi-day practical exam.
