Come inside!

Trine gives you a tour of our school.

Our school in Jammerbugt Municipality is centrally located in Aabybro. Here you are close to the city of Aalborg, beautiful nature, the North Sea, and Limfjorden – all of which we use actively in our daily activities. We also have strong ties to the local community and are actively involved in the annual “Knæk Cancer Run” in Aabybro.

We offer:

AGU

AGU is for you who want to strengthen your academic skills through practice-oriented and holistic teaching that makes learning meaningful. We work with portfolios and in a very different way than most students are used to.

We offer classes at introductory, G-, E- and D-levels – and you will be taught at the level that fits your abilities.

Subjects:

  • Danish or Danish as a Second Language

  • Mathematics

  • English

  • PASE (Personal finance, workplace skills, cooperation, vocational learning)

  • Science

  • Social Studies

  • Identity and Citizenship

  • Electives

You must take exams in Danish/Danish as a second language and mathematics. The other subjects (except electives) are lottery subjects, meaning you will be tested in one additinal subject.

AGU Hybrid is for students who dream of continuing to vocational training, upper secondary school, or HF, but who currently struggle with physical classroom attendance. Teaching can be online or in person, tailored to your needs.

PGU

At PGU, most of the teaching is practical, but you also take Danish, mathematics, and PASE (Personal finance, workplace skills, cooperation skills, and vocational skills). Academic subjects are integrated with hands-on activities, ensuring meaningful learning.

In Jammerbugt, we offer the following practical themes:

CONSTRUCTION

Constructionis for those who want to learn and work with different trades, using materials such as wood and metal. This track is for students curious about the vocational themes construction, housing and civil engineering or industry and metal, and who enjoy creating and producing.

Teaching includes service tasks, projects, and productions – both in groups and individually. These can be small or large assignments, from the initial idea to the finished product, where you learn the craft behind the tasks and gain experience with different materials, tools, equipment, and techniques.

From the first drawing to production and customer contact, you are typically involved throughout the entire process.

SOCIAL CARE AND HEALTH

Care & Health is for you who dream of working with people. We collaborate closely with the local community to help you gain insight and clarification regarding further education within healthcare or the pedagogical field.

We work with care roles, health, psychology, pedagogy, communication, work environment, and much more.

FOOD AND NUTRITION

Food & Nutrition is for those who enjoy cooking and want to improve their skills. Here you will work with meal preparation and serving, menu planning, ordering supplies, hygiene, cleaning, and developing recipes. The work takes place in authentic settings – and the days just fly by.

Movement is an important factor for learning. That’s why we stay active on the Tourism, Culture & Leisure track.
