FGU Nordvest - Morsø

Our school on Mors is located close to the town, the beach, and nature – which we often use actively in teaching. We have a strong partnership with the local community and take great pride in it. Local businesses also contribute exciting topics to our lessons.

We offer:

AGU

AGU is for you who want to strengthen your academic skills through practice-oriented and holistic teaching that makes learning meaningful. We work with portfolios and in a very different way than most students are used to.

We offer classes at introductory, G-, E- and D-levels – and you will be taught at the level that fits your abilities.

Subjects:

• Danish or Danish as a Second Language

• Mathematics

• English

• PASE (Personal finance, workplace skills, cooperation, vocational learning)

• Science

• Social Studies

• Identity and Citizenship

• Electives

You must take exams in Danish/Danish as a second language and mathematics. The other subjects (except electives) are lottery subjects, meaning you will be tested in one additional subject.

PGU

At PGU, you take part in holistic, workshop-based learning. Here you receive practical teaching in Danish, mathematics, and elective subjects. In addition, you will have classes in PASE (Personal finance, workplace skills, cooperation skills, and vocational skills).

At our school in Morsø, we offer the following tracks:

CONSTRUCTION, HOUSING & CIVIL ENGINERING

In Construction, Housing & Civil Engineering, you will develop your skills within various crafts, such as working with wood, painting, and general maintenance. You will learn to use and operate stationary machines, hand tools and power tools in a safe and controlled manner. In addition we also use 3D printing, laser cutters and drawings programs. 

You will get acquainted with customer contakt, as we have a very good collaboration with the local chamber of commerce. You will learn that service and collaboration are important when creating a product together. 

FOOD & NUTRITION

You schould choos Food and Nutrition if you would like to learn about food and nutrition. We work with meal preparatrion and serving, menu planning, ordering supplies, hygiene, cleaning and recope development. 
We work in authentic setting, and the days just fly by. 

SOCIAL CARE AND HEALTH 

Social Care and Health is for those who want to work with people. Here, you gain knowledge and guidance within the field and expolre possible educational pathways. We have a strong collaboration with our local community. In care and Health, we are creative and active, creating meaningful experiences for both children in local kindergartens and elderly in the town's nursing homes. 
We work with care roles, health, psychology, pedagogy, communication work environment, and much more. 

BUSINESS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

Business and customer service focuses on store design, events, marketing, and communication, where theory is applied in practice. Here, you develop strong skills in customer service, sales, and professional apperance. 

EGU

EGU is for you who want maximum hands-on work experience. You spend most of your time in company internships, combined with shorter school periods where you receive subject teaching relevant to your internship.

EGU gives you skills that can lead directly to unskilled employment or help you move on to a vocational education program.

Specially Adapted Youth Education (STU)

At FGU Nordvest Morsø, we offer a vocationally oriented STU program with teaching and practical activities in an authentic, work-oriented learning environment together with peers. We provide tailored courses in real-life settings.
